Initial ideation included a multitude of different concepts with different purposes including keychains, tie clips, and decorative bottle openers
Through the Ideation came A final direction of a concept based on the form of a Peacock with the large back tail being the handle and the beach of the design acting as a can punch
Once the concept was defined the modeling process began, starting with the use of sketch models to understand how the bottle opener would feel in the hand
The final model was created in CAD, 3D printed, and painted to display the final productÂ
The final product of the Peacock is an ergonomically designed bottle opener made to be produced through stamping and rolling sheet metal
When in use, it provides the user with a multi-functional product opening cans and bottles, and when not in use, it acts as an elegant piece of tabletop decor
